Outdoor Play Equipment
Cylindrical playground equipment made from recycled rubber for parks and playgrounds
ECO-DRUM is a cylindrical outdoor play structure made from SBR rubber granules derived primarily from end-of-life tyres (ELTs). The drainage structure promotes rapid drying, while the internal galvanized steel anchoring system ensures the structure’s stability. Available in three heights, it is designed for playgrounds, recreational areas, and urban settings.

01 / Product
Three heights for designing the play area
ECO-DRUM combines a minimalist design with a sturdy structure designed for permanent outdoor installation. The cylindrical body is made of SBR rubber granules bound with polyurethane resin and colorant; inside is a galvanized steel anchoring system.
The three available heights—300, 400, and 500 mm—allow you to choose the configuration that best suits your playground design while maintaining the 250 mm diameter. The material’s structure is porous and promotes drying after exposure to water.

Configurations
Constant diameter, three heights
The body diameter is Ø 250 mm for all versions. The available heights are 300, 400, and 500 mm, with a Ø 50 mm anchor post made of galvanized steel.

03 / Applications
Where to Use ECO-DRUM
ECO-DRUM is designed as playground equipment for outdoor installations. It can be installed in public playgrounds, play areas, recreational spaces, and urban settings, with the height of the unit selected based on the intended configuration.
The cylindrical shape and the availability of multiple heights make it possible to incorporate multiple elements into the playground design, while the drainage material is suitable for outdoor use.

06 / Installation
Anchoring to the substrate
The standard installation involves constructing a stable, level concrete foundation into which a Ø 50 mm galvanized steel anchor post is inserted. The product must be installed at the correct height relative to the finished floor or ground level.
When it is not possible to install the plinth, a steel plate is available upon request for securing the unit to a concrete screed using anchors. Complete installation instructions, including procedures for reinforcing the anchorage and safety clearances, are provided in the technical data sheet.

07 / Security and Compliance
Designed for use in playgrounds
ECO-DRUM is certified as compliant with EN 1176 regarding the safety of playground equipment and with EN 71-3 regarding the migration of certain elements. The technical data sheet specifies EN 71-3, Edition 2019 + A1:2021, and states that the tests were conducted by an independent third-party organization.
For the 300-, 400-, and 500-mm versions, the technical data sheet specifies drop heights of 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 m, respectively. Installation conditions, operating spaces, and drop zones must be defined in accordance with the applicable technical guidelines and regulations.

09 / FAQ
FAQs About ECO-DRUM
Quick Answers for Designers, Installers, Retailers, and Playground Operators.
What sizes are available for the ECO-DRUM?
ECO-DRUM has a diameter of Ø 250 mm and is available in heights of 300, 400, and 500 mm, weighing 13.6, 16, and 22.5 kg, respectively.
What colors is it available in?
The documented standard colors are black, red, green, light blue, and gray.
How is the ECO-DRUM secured?
Standard installation involves inserting the Ø 50 mm anchor post into a concrete pedestal. A steel plate is also available upon request for securing the post to a concrete screed using anchors.
Is playground safety surfacing required under ECO-DRUM?
The technical data sheet indicates that, for fall heights of 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 m, EN 1176-1 does not require the use of playground safety surfacing; however, it does recommend its use to increase safety. Safety distances, fall zones, and designated areas of use must still be observed.
Which standards does ECO-DRUM comply with?
The documentation certifies compliance with EN 1176 and EN 71-3; for the latter, the technical data sheet lists EN 71-3:2019 + A1:2021.
