ECO-HOLMAT is an interlocking rubber paving system designed for playgrounds and outdoor recreational areas. The structure absorbs impacts, provides a slip-resistant surface, and promotes water drainage, while also adapting to uneven or sloped natural terrain. The open design also allows grass to grow through the surfacing, integrating the playground safety surfacing with the ground. ECO-HOLMAT is tested to EN 1177.

Playground safety surfacing that blends in with the ground

ECO-HOLMAT is designed for areas prone to accidental falls, combining impact absorption, a slip-resistant surface, and a drainage system. Its honeycomb structure allows it to be used on natural surfaces such as soil and grass, even on uneven or sloped terrain, and enables grass to grow through the paving.

Installation of ECO-HOLMAT on Natural Ground

For installation on soil or grass, the subbase must be prepared by removing rocks, roots, and uneven areas and leveling the surface. After preparing the subgrade, the stabilizing mesh is laid; the ECO-HOLMAT slabs are then laid on top of the mesh, anchored to the ground with stakes, and connected to one another with plastic ties.
